NATHAN BLUNDELL
Nathan is an aspirational film maker and creative agency consultant with a wide variety of skills ranging from video production and photography, through to branding projects, web development and digital marketing.
His interest in advertising was sparked by the impact that drink-driving ads had on NZ in the 2000s. Positive behavioural change occurring en-mass right before his eyes. Nathan is hugely motivated to bring focus to key areas of ‘good’ such as public health, equity, representation and Te Reo language revitalisation.
He is an Account and Business Development Manager who has been with the Cato Brand Partners team for 5 years. His focus is on the planning, feasibility and ultimate success of projects with Cato. He brings an end-to-end perspective for both new and existing clients and a wide range of business understanding from his marketing background. This ensures that the maximum strategic and creative potential of the Cato team is utilised.
As a very personable and interested individual, Nathan thrives in new client environments and quickly understands what it takes to achieve decision-making. Within complex stakeholder environments, this helps accurately and safely inform creative opportunities.
Nathan has high-level experience in supporting clients to further understand and articulate their place in Aotearoa. He has worked on successful brand creation projects including Te Wao Nui Child Health Service, Manawa Energy, and Tākina, planning and implementing stakeholder engagement and integrating Te Ao Māori narratives into authentic and inspiring brand stories.
Photography, film and music are all spaces in which Nathan thrives - serving as both an in-house talent for projects as well as support for Cato's specialist partner creatives such as John Crawford and Dean Zillwood.
